Canadian Jayden Coke (199-F/G) had an amazing evening in the last round for Shepparton Gators and that's him to receive a Hoops Agents Big V Player of the Week award for round 16.
The swingman had a double-double of 35 points and 15 rebounds, while his team beat Melbourne Uni (#7, 9-10) 97-91. Gators is placed at 5th position in Australian Big V. They would have been even better if they hadn't lost a few games earlier this season. Shepparton will need more victories to improve their 11-8 record. In the team's last game Coke had a remarkable 81.3% from 2-point range. He has many years of experience at Gators, through which he has constantly improved. Academy of Art graduate has very impressive stats this year. Coke is in league's top in rebounds (9th best: 9.1rpg) and averages solid 1.2bpg and 58.5% FGP.

The second most remarkable performance in last round's games was American point guard Kortland Martin (180-PG) of Blackburn Vikings. Martin impressed basketball fans with 43 points, 4 rebounds and 7 assists. Bad luck as Vikings lost that game 112-125 to the higher-ranked Wyndham (#1, 14-4). Blackburn is still second from the bottom in the standings. 14 lost games are too many comparing to just five victories Vikings managed to get this year. Martin is one of the most experienced players at Blackburn and has a reputation of one of team's most reliable players. He belongs to the best scorers in the league with 26.1ppg (#2). His other stats are also decent: 5.7rpg and 5.1apg.

The third best performed player last round was American Kavione Green (195-F) of Bellarine Storm (#8). Green got into 30-points club by scoring 31 points in the last round. He went also for nine rebounds . Despite Green's great performance the Storm lost 92-128 to the higher-ranked McKinnon (#3, 14-6). But his team cannot count on just a single shooter as he also needs help of the other teammates. The chances of Bellarine ranking at the top of the league, however are very questionable as they have already lost 11 games, recording just nine victories. With bigger assistance of his teammates, Green could help Bellarine to bring them higher in the standings. Green has a great season in Australia. After 20 games, he made it on the list of the league's leaders in points with 23.4ppg (5th best) and rebounds with 11.6rpg (3rd best). He also has 2.5spg and a FGP of 57.2%.

Other top performing players last week:
4. Russell Permenter (203-C-1988) of Western PS - 23 points and 16 rebounds
5. Ricardo Time (188-G) of Melbourne Uni - 30 points and 4 rebounds
6. Gerrard Newby (196-F-1995) of Keysborough - 24 points and 16 rebounds

The Player of the week is selected based on efficiency calculation, but also including game result, importance of the game, if played recorded double-double/triple-double, etc.
The efficiency formula is a combination of various formulas used by different basketball organizations/leagues. We got involved many basketball scouts and journalists to assure it's accuracy.
The formula: 1.5*PTS + 3*(REB+AST+ST+BL-TO) - 2*BSAG - 4*PF + 3*PFRV + 4*(2FGPM+3FGPM) + 1.5*FTM - 3*(2FGPA-2FGPM) - 3*(3FGPA-3FGPM) - (FTA-FTM)
