38 points scored by 32 year old American swingman Devondrick Walker (194-G/F-1992, college: A&M-Commerce) made him the highest scoring player of the day in the world. His team the Flames beat the East Perth Eagles 104 to 81. He also grabbed 3 rebounds and got 4 assists that game.
He is quite experienced player. His career allowed him to visit four different continents, while he played in seven different countries. Walker tasted the life as pro basketball player in Europe, Asia, Australia and of course North America. He has played previously professionally in France (Chorale de Roanne), Indonesia, Italy (Trieste and Brindisi), Latvia (VEF Riga), New Zealand (Hawks), and NBA G League (Austin Spurs, Delaware Blue Coats and Westchester Knicks).
Among many awards his team won the Australian NBL One Regular Season in 2023. He was also selected as the Australiabasket.com All-Australian NBL One Player of the Year between 2022 and 2023. Walker was selected to the Australiabasket.com All-Australian NBL One First Team between 2022 and 2023. He was also selected to the Australiabasket.com New Zealand NBL All-Imports Team as well as the All-New Zealand NBL Second Team back in 2021.
