Guard Cody Fredrickson (188-2000, college: Ottawa, KS) contributed with 19 points, 5 rebounds and 6 assists for the winners. American forward Gerrard Newby (196-1995, college: Union, KY) answered with a double-double by scoring 29 points and 15 rebounds for Keysborough. Pakenham maintains sixth place with 11-9 record. Keysborough at the other side keeps the third position with seven games lost. Pakenham are looking forward to face league's leader Wyndham in Werribee in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Keysborough will play on the road against Blackburn in Melbourne and is hoping to win this game.

Worth to mention about the upset in a game between Hume City Broncos (13-7) and Jets (8-12), which took place in Tullamarine. 4th placed Hume City Broncos lost at home to ninth ranked Jets 79-86 on Sunday. Nathan Baker nailed a double-double by scoring 19 points and 13 rebounds for the winning side. Malik McKinney came up with 24 points, 7 rebounds, 5 assists and 4 steals for Hume City in the defeat. Sunbury maintains ninth place with 8-12 record. Loser Hume City Broncos keeps the fourth position with seven games lost. Sunbury will meet higher ranked Melbourne Uni (#7) on the road in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Hume City will play against Camberwell in Melbourne and hope to secure a win.
There were no big surprises in other games of round 17: bottom-ranked Western PS was smashed by Bellarine on the road 110-91. McKinnon won against Pakenham on its own court 96-82. Shepparton outscored Blackburn in a road game 102-78. Camberwell was rolled over Wyndham at home 86-108.
The most impressive performance of 17th round was 30 points and 15 rebounds by Adetomi Ayilara of Wyndham.
