American Forward Kavione Green (195-F) put on an extraordinary performance in the last round for Bellarine Storm, receiving a Hoops Agents Big V Player of the Week award for round 18.
The player had a double-double of 34 points and 20 rebounds, while his team edged out Pakenham (11-11) 99-96. Storm is placed at 7th position in Australian Big V. Bellarine is a typical solid league team placed somewhere in the middle or a little bit lower in the standings. They need more victories to improve their 11-11 record. In the team's last game Green had a remarkable 56.3% from 2-point range. He turned to be Storm's top player in his first season with the team. Former Bloomfield College of Montclair State University star has very solid stats this year. Green is in league's top in points (4th best: 24.2ppg) and averages impressive 2.5spg and 57.1% FGP.

The second best player in last round's games was Jackson Dean (F) of Camberwell Dragons. Dean had a very good evening with 34 points, 5 rebounds and 3 assists. Bad luck as Camberwell lost that game 97-107 to the higher-ranked Hume City (#4, 14-8). Camberwell is still in a red zone at 11th spot in the standings. 17 lost games are too many comparing to just five victories Camberwell managed to get this year. Dean is well-known at Camberwell and is a proven leader in his second season with the team.

Third on the list of top players last round was American guard Anthony Williams (178-PG-1995) of Keysborough Cougars (#3). Williams got into 30-points club by scoring 37 points in the last round. He went also for six rebounds and five assists. He was a key player of Cougars, leading his team to a 118-77 easy win against the lower-ranked Blackburn (#10, 5-17). Keysborough needs these victories very badly if they think about getting closer to top teams. Their record at this point is 15 victories and 7 lost games. Williams has a great season in Australia. After 22 games, he made it on the list of the league's leaders in assists with 5.2apg (6th best). Williams attended one of camps at Eurobasket Summer League on his way to pro basketball.
