Cougars looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists comparing to just 9 passes made by Devils' players. Guard Mitchell Barry (190) fired 18 points, 9 rebounds, 9 assists and 6 steals for the winners. American forward Steve Wooten Jr (198-1998, college: Bethesda) chipped in 23 points and 6 rebounds. Daniaell Herbert produced 20 points and 9 rebounds and American guard Troyce Manassa (193-1993, college: SSU) added 26 points and 5 rebounds respectively for lost side. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures.

Cougars made 21-of-27 charity shots (77.8 percent) during the game. They also forced 20 Gators turnovers and outrebounded them 48-28 including a 14-2 advantage in offensive rebounds. Cougars players were unselfish on offense dishing 27 assists comparing to just 11 passes made by Gators' players. Worth to mention a great performance of American forward Gerrard Newby (196-1995, college: Union, KY) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 23 points and 11 rebounds. His fellow American import guard Nick Carlson (193-2000, college: St.Scholastica, agency: Warren Sports International) contributed with a double-double by scoring 13 points, 12 rebounds and 7 assists for the winners. Carlson is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top international summer league in the market. Cougars' coach felt very confident that he used entire bench which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Canadian swingman Jayden Coke (199, college: Academy of Art) answered with 11 points, 8 rebounds and 4 assists and American Devin Thomas (203-1996, college: Indiana St., agency: One Motive Sports) added 10 points and 6 rebounds in the effort for Gators. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures.
