EWE Baskets Oldenburg (BBL) inked 29-year old Australian 188cm guard Ben Ayre (college: Newman). He started the season at SE Melbourne in Australian NBL league. In 23 games he recorded 4.9ppg and 1.2apg. The last season summer he played at Saints (also in NBL) in New Zealand.
He has quite traveled the world as his pro career brought him to three different continents (Europe, Australia and of course North America). Ayre has played previously professionally in Lithuania (Mazeikiai) and New Zealand.
He played in the final of Australian NBL1 in 2023.
Ayre graduated from Newman University in 2019 and it is his sixth season in pro basketball. He played also for Skagit Valley College for 2 years.
