Mandurah Magic (NBL One) inked 31-year old 175cm guard Alex Wilson for upcoming season. Wilson played recently at Perth Lynx in the WNBL. In 23 games she was league's fifth best scorer with impressive 15.7ppg and had 4.7rpg, 4.8apg (top 4) and 1.8spg last season. She was named to the All-WNBL First Team. The last summer she played at Lady Braves where in 12 NBL One games she recorded very remarkable stats: 16.1ppg, 7.3rpg, 4.8apg and 1.7spg.
She represented Australia at the World University Games in Taipei (Taiwan) eight years ago. Wilson's team won Gold and her stats at that event were 6 games: 12.8ppg, 3.8rpg, 2.5apg, 1.2spg, FGP: 43.6%, 3PT: 38.2%, FT: 57.1%.
Wilson has played previously for eight other teams: Adelaide Lightning, Townsville Fire, Sydney Flames, Bendigo Spirit, Tornadoes, Diamond Valley Eagles, Flames and Mavericks. She won Australian WNBL championship title in 2015 and 2017.
