Australian NBL One round 2 best performance: Elijah Pepper

American Guard Elijah Pepper (193-G-2001) put on an amazing game in the last round for Warwick Senators, receiving a Hoops Agents NBL One Player of the Week award for round 2.
The 23-year old player was the main contributor (50 points, seven rebounds and seven assists) to his team's victory, helping them to outclass, the league's bottom-ranked team Lakeside L. (#14, 0-2) with 38-point margin 117-79. Senators is placed at 5th position in Australian NBL One. But it's just the very beginning of the season and Warwick S. won just one (their first) game. It's too early to say anything as the standings can be changed completely after next round. In the team's last game Pepper had a remarkable 90.0% from 2-point range and got nine three-pointers out of 15 attempts. He just recently signed at Senators and it was his first game, where he immediately became new team's leader.

The second best player in last round's games was young international guard Tom Wilson (195-G-1997) of Melbourne Tigers. Wilson had a very good evening with a double-double of 33 points and 13 rebounds. Of course he led Tigers to another comfortable win 78-62 over Diamond V.E. (1-3) being unquestionably team leader. The season is still at the very beginning and this victory may help a lot. Let's wait for the next round. Wilson is a newcomer at Melbourne T., but is already one of team's top players. He belongs to the best scorers in the league with 28.3ppg (#6). His other stats are also decent: 9.7rpg and 5.7apg.

Third on the list of top players last round was American guard Broderick Robinson (185-G-1995) of Eastern Mavericks (#4). Robinson got into 30-points club by scoring 41 points in the last round. He went also for eight rebounds and six assists. He was a key player of Eastern Mavericks, leading his team to a 120-119 win against Forestville E. (1-1). Eastern M. needs these victories very badly if they think about getting closer to top teams in central. Their record at this point is 1 victory and 1 lost game. Robinson has a great season in Australia. After only 2 games, he made it on the list of the league's leaders in points with 35.5ppg (best scorer) and assists with 8.0apg (3rd best).
