American Guard Elijah Pepper (193-G-2001) put on an extraordinary performance in the last round for league's second-best Warwick Senators and that's him to receive a Hoops Agents NBL One Player of the Week award for round 3.
The 23-year old guard had the game-high 51 points adding three rebounds and six assists for Warwick S. in his team's victory, helping them to crush Rockingham F. (#6, 2-1) with 25-point margin 134-109. Senators is placed at 2nd position in Australian NBL One. They maintain a perfect record without any lost game in the league. But it's just the very beginning of the season and Warwick S. won both games without losing any. It's too early to say anything as the standings can be changed completely after next round. In the team's last game Pepper had a remarkable 77.8% from 2-point range and got nine three-pointers out of 21 attempts. He just recently signed at Senators and just after two games he already turned to be a very valuable addition to the team. University of California - Davis graduate has very impressive stats this year. Pepper is league's best scorer averaging so far 50.5ppg. Pepper is in league's top in assists (5th best: 6.5apg) and averages solid 84.2% FGP and 50.0% from behind 3-point line.

The second most remarkable performance in last round's games was young New Zealand guard Keanu Rasmussen (188-G-2003) of West Adelaide Bearcats. Rasmussen impressed basketball fans with a double-double of 35 points and 13 rebounds. Of course he led Bearcats to another comfortable win 83-66 over Norwood F. (0-3) being unquestionably team leader. The season is still at the very beginning and this victory may help a lot. Let's wait for the next round. Rasmussen is one of the most experienced players at W.Adelaide B. and has a reputation of one of team's most reliable players. He belongs to the best scorers in the league with 30.5ppg (#5). His other stats are also decent: 9.5rpg and 4.5apg.

The third best performed player last round was former international guard Isaac White (188-G-1998) of Rockingham Flames (#6). White got into 30-points club by scoring 34 points in the last round. He went also for twelve rebounds and seven assists. He was a key player of Flames, leading his team to a 108-87 easy win against Cockburn (#13, 0-3). Rockingham F. needs these victories very badly if they think about getting closer to top teams in west. Their record at this point is 2 victories and 1 lost game. White has a great season in Australia. After only 3 games, he made it on the list of the league's leaders in points with 32.3ppg (2nd best).
