Batte's double-double lands him Big V Hoops Agents Player of the Week award

25-year old American forward Ryan Batte (198-F-1999) had a very impressive game in the last round for Shepparton Gators and receives a Hoops Agents Big V Player of the Week award for round 5.
He had a double-double of 28 points and 14 rebounds, while his team beat Bellarine (#9, 2-5) 96-90. Gators is placed at 5th position in Australian Big V. They would have been even better if they hadn't lost a few games earlier this season. Shepparton will need more victories to improve their 4-3 record. In the team's last game Batte had a remarkable 60.0% from 2-point range. He just recently signed at Gators, being already a very valuable addition to the team. Thomas More University graduate has very impressive stats this year. Batte is in league's top in points (9th best: 21.0ppg), rebounds (2nd best: 11.3rpg), assists (9th best: 4.4apg) and averages solid 3.3spg and 51.9% from behind 3-point line.

Second best performed player last round was Kavione Green (195-F) of top-ranked Hume City Broncos. He is American forward in his first season at Hume City. In the last game Green recorded an impressive double-double of 27 points and 10 rebounds. Of course he led Hume City Broncos to another comfortable win outscoring the lower-ranked Bellarine (#9, 2-5) 112-80. This victory allowed Hume City to move up to 1st position in the standings. His team lost just one game this season, while they won 5 matches. Green is one of the most experienced players at Hume City and has a reputation of one of team's most reliable players. He belongs to the best scorers in the league with 26.5ppg (#2). He also registered 8.2 boards per game.

Third place about best performers goes to Malik Miller (206-C/F-1995) of Wyndham Devils (#12). Miller scored 27 points and grabbed 12 rebounds (!!!). Despite Miller's great performance the Devils lost 94-102 to the higher-ranked Melbourne Uni (#6, 4-3). But his team cannot count on just a single shooter as he also needs help of the other teammates. Wyndham can only dream about fighting for top spots in the league. They have awful season losing so far all 5 games. Miller has individually a great season in Australia. After only 5 games, he made it on the list of the league's leaders in rebounds with 10.4rpg (7th best).
