American Guard Elijah Pepper (193-G-2001) had an amazing evening in the last round for league's leader Warwick Senators and that's him to receive a Hoops Agents NBL One Player of the Week award for round 6.
The 23-year old guard recorded a triple-double of 35 points adding also 10 rebounds and 11 assists, while his team crushed Mandurah M. (#5, 4-2) with 17-point margin 104-87. It allowed Senators to consolidate first place in the Australian NBL One. They maintain a perfect record without any lost game in the league. The season is still on an early stage, but Warwick S. already had a very good start winning all 6 without losing a single one. In the team's last game Pepper had a remarkable 90.9% from 2-point range. He just recently signed at Senators, being already a very valuable addition to the team. University of California - Davis graduate has very impressive stats this year. Pepper is league's best scorer averaging so far 42.2ppg. Pepper is in league's top in assists (2nd best: 7.6apg) and averages solid 71.4% FGP and 42.5% from behind 3-point line.

The second most remarkable performance in last round's games was young American forward Ruot Monyyong (210-F-1998) of Dandenong Rangers. Monyyong impressed basketball fans with a double-double of 33 points and 19 rebounds. Bad luck as Rangers lost that game 89-100 to the higher-ranked Bendigo B. (#5, 5-3). This loss caused Dandenong R. to drop to 19th position in south. 6 lost games are too many comparing to just one victory Rangers managed to get this year. Monyyong is one of the most experienced players at Dandenong R. and has a reputation of one of team's most reliable players.

The third best performed player last round was Jack Purchase (203-F-1995) of Melbourne Tigers (#10). Purchase got into 30-points club by scoring 55 points in the last round. He went also for six rebounds . Despite Purchase's great performance the Tigers lost 85-87 to slightly higher-ranked Eltham W. (#8, 4-3). But his team cannot count on just a single shooter as he also needs help of the other teammates. The last thing Melbourne T. needs is to lose another game like this one. They lose more and more distance to the top teams in the south. Their record is 3 victories and 3 lost games. Purchase has a very solid season. In 6 games in Australia he scored 23.7ppg. He also has 6.8rpg, 2.2bpg and and 3PT: 47.5%.
