East Perth Eagles (NBL One) tabbed 28-year old 196cm small forward Jonah Antonio (college: Wake Forest). Antonio moved there from Cairns Taipans in the NBL. In 26 games he averaged 4.1ppg and 2.4rpg last season.
He represented Australia at the World University Games in Napoli (Italy) six years ago. Antonio's team won Bronze and his stats at that event were 6 games: 5.5ppg, 1.0rpg, FGP: 40.0%, 3PT: 42.9%.
Antonio has played previously professionally also in Czech Republic (NH Ostrava).
Among many awards his team was regular season runner-up in Australian NBL in 2023. He was voted to NEC All-Rookie Team back in 2018.
Antonio graduated from Wake Forest University in 2021 and it is his fourth season in pro basketball. He played for other colleges like: University of Nevada - Las Vegas, South Plains College, Mount Saint Mary's University.
