Starling's double-double lands him NBL One Hoops Agents Player of the Week award

35-year old American forward Alexander Starling (198-F-1989) put on an amazing game in the last round for league's best team Forestville Eagles and receives a Hoops Agents NBL One Player of the Week award for round 7.
He had a double-double of 29 points and 20 rebounds, while his team beat S.Adelaide P. (#3, 5-3) 96-83. It allowed Forestville Eagles to consolidate first place in the Australian NBL One. Forestville E. have a solid 7-1 record. In the team's last game Starling had a remarkable 61.5% from 2-point range. He just recently signed at Forestville Eagles, being already a very valuable addition to the team. Bethune-Cookman University graduate has very impressive stats this year. Starling is in league's top in rebounds (2nd best: 13.0rpg) and averages solid 3.6spg and 65.0% FGP.

Second best performed player last round was Jensen Bradtke (208-F) of Gold Coast Rollers. He is a forward in his first season at Gold Coast R.. In the last game Bradtke recorded an impressive double-double of 39 points and 14 rebounds. Bad luck as Rollers was edged by slightly higher-ranked Cairns M. (#3, 2-1) 101-99. This loss caused Gold Coast R. to drop to 5th position in north. His team lost some distance to top teams. But a 1-1 record is not bad and everything may still change. Bradtke is one of the most experienced players at Gold Coast R. and has a reputation of one of team's most reliable players.

Third place about best performers goes to Jaylin Galloway (198-SF-2002) of Bankstown Bruins (#7). Galloway got into 30-points club by scoring 37 points in the last round. He went also for thirteen rebounds . He was a key player of Bruins, leading his team to a 107-87 easy win against the lower-ranked Albury W.B. (#16, 1-7). Bankstown B. needs these victories very badly if they think about getting closer to top teams in east. Their record at this point is 4 victories and 4 lost games. The season just started for Galloway as he played only first game. But it already looks like he can be team's leader.
