Perry Lakes Hawks (NBL One) added to their roster 28-year old forward Megan McKay (194cm-1997, college: SMC). It is actually her comeback to Hawks as she has played here before. McKay played last summer at Bendigo Lady Braves in the NBL One. In 12 games she recorded very impressive stats: 24.6ppg and 12.3rpg. She helped them to make it to the Australian NBL1 National final.
McKay represented Australia at the World University Games in Taipei (Taiwan) eight years ago. Her team won Gold and her stats at that event were 2 games: 1.0ppg, 1.5rpg.
She has played previously professionally also in Germany (TSV 1880) and Australia (Townsville Fire, Bendigo Spirit and Tornadoes).
The list of the past achievements is quite long as among others she was also voted Australiabasket.com All-Australian NBL1 Player of the Year in 2023.
McKay graduated from Saint Mary's College of California in 2019 and it will be her seventh season as a professional player.
