Guard Mayoum Mayoum (193-G) put on an extraordinary performance in the last round for Wyndham Devils and receives a Hoops Agents Big V Player of the Week award for round 8.
He had the game-high 43 points adding six rebounds and four assists for Wyndham in his team's victory, helping them to outclass Shepparton (#7, 5-6) with 37-point margin 129-92. Devils is placed at 10th position in Australian Big V. Too late to salvage the team, which is currently ranked such low. They already lost 7 games and recorded just three victories. In the team's last game Mayoum had a remarkable 100.0% from 2-point range. He just recently signed at Devils, being already a very valuable addition to the team. Mayoum Mayoum averages this season 18.4ppg and 6.0rpg.

Second best performed player last round was James Legan (190-G-1987) of Blackburn Vikings. He is American guard in his second season at Blackburn. In the last game Legan recorded an impressive 50 points, 7 rebounds and 2 assists. Bad luck as Vikings lost that game 104-114 to slightly higher-ranked Camberwell (#11, 2-8). The game was between two teams which are definitely not main contenders for the title. Blackburn dropped in the standings to very bottom position. 8 lost games are too many comparing to just one victory Vikings managed to get this year. Legan is well-known at Blackburn and he already established his position as one of the team's leaders.

Third place about best performers goes to guard Sean Conway (196-G-2001, agency: Warren Sports International) of Camberwell Dragons (#11). Conway got into 30-points club by scoring 34 points in the last round. He went also for thirteen rebounds and six assists. He was a key player of Camberwell, leading his team to a 114-104 win against slightly lower-ranked Blackburn (#12, 1-8). Camberwell can only dream about fighting for top spots in the league. They have rather bad season and 2-8 record places them close to the bottom of the standings. Conway has individually a great season in Australia. After only 5 games, he made it on the list of the league's leaders in points with 30.8ppg (best scorer) and rebounds with 12.4rpg (#1 in league).

The formula: 1.5*PTS + 3*(REB+AST+ST+BL-TO) - 2*BSAG - 4*PF + 3*PFRV + 4*(2FGPM+3FGPM) + 1.5*FTM - 3*(2FGPA-2FGPM) - 3*(3FGPA-3FGPM) - (FTA-FTM)
