Tasmania JackJumpers (NBL) signed 24-year old American guard David Johnson (193cm-95kg-2001, college: Louisville) for the upcoming 2025-26 season. He played last season with Memphis Hustle (NBA G League) in the U.S. In 28 NBA-G-League games, he had very impressive stats: 16.1ppg, 3.9rpg, and 2.7apg. The previous (2024) summer, he played with The Ville in the U.S. semi-pro league The Basketball Tournament.
In 2021, he was drafted by the Toronto Raptors (NBA) in the second round (47th overall). He attended the University of Louisville, and it is his fifth season in pro basketball.
Johnson has played ppg in the NBA G League (Raptors 905 Mississauga) previously.
His team reached the NBA G League Semifinals in 2022, and he received All-ACC Honorable Mention during his college career in 2021.
