South East Melbourne Phoenix (NBL) signed 24-year-old American 198cm swingman Omari Moore (college: SJSU) for the upcoming season. He last played at Darussafaka in the Turkish BSL league, where he averaged an impressive 15.7ppg, 5.3rpg, 5.5apg, and 1.3spg in 30 games last season. During the previous (2024) summer, he played for Raptors in the U.S. semi-pro league NBA Summer League. He also played for River Lions (agara River Lions (Canada-CEBL): 16 games: 11.6ppg, 6.3rpg, Assists-5(5.5apg), 1.4spg, Blocks-3(1.4bpg), FGP: 42.7%, 3PT: 28.8%, FT: 73.7%) in the Canadian agara River Lions (Canada-CEBL): 16 games: 11.6ppg, 6.3rpg, Assists-5(5.5apg), 1.4spg, Blocks-3(1.4bpg),
Moore is a very experienced player, having played professionally in Canada, the NBA (Milwaukee Bucks), and the NBA G League (Raptors 905 Mississauga).
During his college time, Moore received the All-MWC Player of the Year award in 2023. His team made it to the MWC Tournament Semifinals in 2023 among many awards.
He graduated from San Jose State University in 2023 and it'll be his third season in pro basketball.
