53 points scored by 24 year old guard Johny Narkle (199-G-2001) gave him the award of highest scoring player of the day in the world. His team the Buccaneers beat the Goldfields Giants 135 to 88. He also grabbed 7 rebounds and got 3 assists that game. Narkle is the 10th best scorer in the league averaging over 24 points and over 7 rebounds per game. The best players in the league are US college alumni. Just on the list of the top 10 best scorers we have 6 out of 10 players, who had college careers.
Among many awards he won the Australian NBL1 championship title in 2023. He was also selected as the Australiabasket.com All-Australian WCC Co-Defensive Player of the Year back in 2020.
