45 points scored by 34 year old American swingman Lamar Patterson (196-G/F-1991, college: Pittsburgh) resulted in being the highest scoring player of the day in the world. His team the Force beat the Brisbane Capitals 130 to 125. On top of that he also recorded 11 rebounds and 9 assists that evening. He is the 3rd best scorer in the league averaging almost 28 points and over 7 rebounds per game. As you can see the league is dominated by ex-college players where 6 out of 10 best scorers graduated the US schools.
He is a very experienced player. And here thanks to pro basketball he experienced life in eight different countries playing on five different continents. Patterson is familiar with European, Asian, Latin American, Australian and of course North American leagues. He has played previously professionally in China (Lhasa and Wuhan), Italy (Torino), Puerto Rico (Piratas and Santeros), Turkey (Tofas), NBA (Atlanta Hawks and Sacramento Kings), NBA G League (Austin Spurs, Cleveland Charge and Stockton), and The Basketball Tournament (Zoo Crew).
Among many awards he won the Australian NBL1 championship title in 2022. He was selected to the Australiabasket.com All-Australian NBL First Team between 2019 and 2020. Patterson was also selected to the Australiabasket.com Australian NBL All-Imports Team between 2019 and 2020. He was selected as the Latinbasket.com All-Puerto Rican BSN Honorable Mention between 2017 and 2020.
Patterson was awarded Player of the Week in the Australian NBL1.
