Sean Conway claims Australian Big V Hoops Agents weekly honour

American Sean Conway (196-G-2001, agency: Warren Sports International) put on an extraordinary performance in the last round for Camberwell Dragons and that's him to receive a Hoops Agents Big V Player of the Week award for round 13.
The 24-year old guard had a double-double of 30 points and 17 rebounds, while his team edged out Hume City (#2, 13-3) 89-86. Camberwell is placed at 8th position in Australian Big V. Camberwell is rather a weak team placed in lower part in the standings. They need more victories to improve their 6-9 record. In the team's last game Conway had a remarkable 62.5% from 2-point range. He has many years of experience at Camberwell, through which he has constantly improved. St. John's University graduate has very impressive stats this year. Conway is league's best scorer averaging so far 31.6ppg. Conway is in league's top in rebounds (2nd best: 12.1rpg) and averages solid 2.4spg and 61.0% FGP.

The second most remarkable performance in last round's games was American forward Kavione Green (195-F, agency: Dominion Sports Group) of second-ranked Hume City Broncos. Green impressed basketball fans with 33 points, 9 rebounds and 4 assists. Bad luck as Hume City Broncos was edged by the lower-ranked Camberwell (#8, 6-9) 89-86. Hume City managed to keep the same second spot in the standings. It was just his team's 3rd loss this season, while they won 13 other games. Green is one of the most experienced players at Hume City and has a reputation of one of team's most reliable players. He belongs to the best scorers in the league with 24.5ppg (#5). He also registered 6.6 boards per game.

The third best performed player last round was American Gerrard Newby (196-F-1995) of top-ranked Keysborough Cougars. Newby scored 26 points and grabbed 11 rebounds (!!!). He was a key player of Cougars, leading his team to a 107-93 easy win against the lower-ranked Pakenham (#5, 9-7). Keysborough confirms their top position in the standings. Newby has a great season in Australia. After 17 games, he made it on the list of the league's leaders in rebounds with 10.7rpg (4th best).

8. Charles Gurgey (190-G-1995) of RMIT - 28 points and 11 rebounds
9. Ivan Platenik (201-F-1983) of Blackburn - 21 points and 12 rebounds
10. Mayuol Makuac (G-2000) of Wyndham - 28 points and 4 rebounds

The Player of the week is selected based on efficiency calculation, but also including game result, importance of the game, if played recorded double-double/triple-double, etc.
