Kobe McDowell-White claims Australian NBL One Hoops Agents weekly honour

Talented Kobe McDowell-White (183-PG-2004) had an amazing evening in the last round for Illawarra Hawks 2nd team and that's him to receive a Hoops Agents NBL One Player of the Week award for round 16.
The 21-year old playmaker got a double-double of 27 points and 13 assists, while his team crushed HKBA Spiders (#14, 6-13) with 19-point margin 129-110. Hawks maintains the 3rd position in their group in the Australian NBL One. They would have been even better if they hadn't lost a few games earlier this season. Illawarra H. 2 will need more victories to improve their 14-5 record. In the team's last game McDowell-White had a remarkable 77.8% from 2-point range and got four three-pointers out of 8 attempts. He has many years of experience at Hawks, through which he has constantly improved. Kobe McDowell-White averages this season 17.7ppg and 6.5apg.

The second most remarkable performance in last round's games was guard Ryan Rapp (196-G) of Dandenong Rangers. Rapp impressed basketball fans with 33 points, 5 rebounds and 9 assists. Of course he led Rangers to another comfortable win outscoring slightly higher-ranked Geelong U. (#15, 7-13) 106-84. The game was between two teams which are definitely not main contenders for the top position in south. Dandenong R. keeps 17th position. His team is not often considered as one of the league's best with a mere 6-14 record. Rapp is one of the most experienced players at Dandenong R. and has a reputation of one of team's most reliable players.

The third best performed player last round was American Mohamed Kone (188-G) of Hornsby Ku-ring-Gai Spiders (#14). Kone got into 30-points club by scoring 38 points in the last round. He went also for thirteen rebounds and five assists. Despite Kone's great performance the Spiders lost 110-129 to the higher-ranked Illawarra H. 2 (#3, 14-5). But his team cannot count on just a single shooter as he also needs help of the other teammates. The chances of HKBA Spiders not to end season at such low position in east, however are less than slim as they have already lost 13 games, recording just six victories. With bigger assistance of his teammates, Kone could try to bring HKBA Spiders' a little bit higher in the standings. Kone has a very solid season. In 17 games in Australia he scored 17.4ppg. He also has 5.5rpg, 5.2apg, 3.1spg and a FGP of 54.6%.
