Central District Lions made 20-of-24 charity shots (83.3 percent) during the game. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 27 assists comparing to just 13 passes made by Woodville Warriors' players. Guard Koen Sapwell (193-1999, college: CS Monterey) nailed a double-double by scoring 37 points (!!!), 6 rebounds and 10 assists for the winning side and Efemena Abogidi accounted for 16 points and 12 rebounds. American guard Bryce Sloan (193, college: Azusa Pacific) came up with 23 points and 4 steals and center Steven Parfitt (-2002) added 15 points and 12 rebounds (on 7-of-8 shooting from the field) respectively for Woodville Warriors in the defeat. Five Central District Lions and four Woodville Warriors players scored in double figures. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games.

Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games.

They looked well-organized offensively handing out 36 assists comparing to just 17 passes made by Sydney City Comets' players. The former international swingman Todd Blanchfield (198-1991) fired a double-double by scoring 15 points, 13 rebounds, 5 assists and 4 steals for the winners. Point guard Kobe McDowell-White (183-2004) chipped in 23 points and 8 assists. Five Hawks players scored in double figures. Point guard Anthony Mundine (167-2005) produced a double-double by scoring 29 points and 11 rebounds and naturalized British forward Obi Kyei (206-1994, college: Eckerd) added 20 points and 8 rebounds respectively for lost side. Since the result was very predictable, it gave the chance for the coaches to test many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest.
