An exciting game between Top Four teams was played in Hamilton Hill. Leader Cougars faced their biggest opponent Senators. Host Cougars (20-0) smashed guests from Perth (15-5) 118-73. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Senators. Cockburn dominated down low during the game scoring 54 of its points in the paint compared to Senators's 34. Cockburn forced 28 Warwick S. turnovers. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 31 assists comparing to just 11 passes made by Warwick S.'s players. Great defensive blocking was one of the keys in this match when Cockburn made 9 blocks. We should mention about the upset which took place in Bunbury, where higher ranked Tigers (11-9) lost to thirteenth ranked Slammers (3-17) in a road game 65-76 on Friday. It was a great evening for Mykea Gray who led her team to a victory scoring 19 points and 6 steals. At the losing side Ajulu Thatha responded with 7 points, 17 rebounds and 4 assists.
