42-year old CRO-AUSn forward Ivan Platenik (201-F-1983) put on an amazing game in the last round for Blackburn Vikings and receives a Hoops Agents Big V Player of the Week award for round 17.
He had a double-double of 40 points and 11 rebounds, while his team edged out Melbourne Uni (#6, 12-10) 104-102. Vikings maintains the 12th position in Australian Big V. Too late to salvage the team, which is currently ranked at the very bottom. They already lost 17 games and recorded just five victories. Platenik turned to be Vikings's top player in his first season with the team. Ivan Platenik averages this season 22.9ppg and 11.4rpg.

Second best performed player last round was Kerry Richardson (202-F/C-1999, agency: Elevate Sports Alliance) of Bellarine Storm. He is American forward in his first season at Bellarine. In the last game Richardson recorded an impressive double-double of 25 points and 16 rebounds. Of course Storm cruised to a 98-91 relatively comfortable win over slightly higher-ranked Sunbury (#9, 7-14). The game was between two teams which are definitely not main contenders for the title. But Bellarine managed to improve slightly their position in standings taking 10th place. His team is not often considered as one of the league's best with a mere 7-15 record. Richardson is a newcomer at Bellarine and quickly became one of team's most reliable players. Former Morehouse College star Richardson is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top international summer league in the market.

Third place about best performers goes to Josh Uhr-Henry of RMIT University (#5). Uhr-Henry got into 30-points club by scoring 32 points in the last round. He went also for seven rebounds . He was a key player of Redbacks, leading his team to a 103-89 easy win against slightly higher-ranked Pakenham (#4, 12-9). RMIT needs these victories very badly if they think about getting closer to top teams. Their record at this point is 12 victories and 10 lost games. Uhr-Henry has a very solid season. In 21 games in Australia he scored 13.5ppg. He also has 8.7rpg and a FGP of 50.2%.
