New Zealand Breakers (NBL) signed 27-year old USA international forward Robert Baker (208cm-93kg-1998, college: Harvard) for the upcoming 2025-26 season. He played last season with the Indiana Pacers in the NBA Summer League. In four games recently, he had 11.5ppg, 5.3rpg, 1.8apg, and 1.3spg. Last season, he played for different teams, ending with ALBA Berlin (BBL) in the German league. Baker also played 4 games in the German BBL, where he recorded 4.5ppg and 3.0rpg. He briefly played for the Magic in the NBA and United in the NBA G League. He was called up to the USA Senior National Team this year.
Baker is a very experienced player. He has played in six different countries on four different continents (Europe, Asia, Latin America, and North America). Baker has played professionally in Germany, Japan (Happinets), Puerto Rico (Santeros), Slovakia (Iskra Svit), NBA G League (College Park SkyHawks, Stockton, Osceola Magic, and NBAGL United), and NBA Summer League (Atlanta Hawks and OKC Thunder).
His college team reached the FIBA International Cup final in 2024.
He graduated from Harvard University in 2020 and it'll be his sixth season as a pro player.
