New Zealand Center Tyrell Harrison (214-C-1999) had an amazing evening in the last round for second-ranked Brisbane Bullets, receiving a Hoops Agents Player of the Week award for round 1.
The 26-year old player had a double-double of 24 points and 15 rebounds, while his team beat NZL Breakers (#10, 0-2), the league's bottom-ranked team 104-95. Bullets is placed at 2nd position in Australian NBL. But it's just the very beginning of the season and Brisbane won just one (their first) game. It's too early to say anything as the standings can be changed completely after next round. Harrison turned to be Bullets's top player in his first season with the team. Tyrell Harrison has solid league stats. He is in league's top in points (3rd best: 24.0ppg) and averages impressive 72.7% FGP.

The second best player in last round's games was young American Bryce Hamilton (193-G-2000) of Tasmania JackJumpers. Hamilton had a very good evening with 26 points, 6 rebounds and 5 assists. It was enough for JackJumpers to edge Perth (0-1) 75-72. The season is still at the very beginning and this victory may help a lot. Let's wait for the next round. Hamilton is a newcomer at Tasmania JJ, but is already one of team's top players. He belongs to the best scorers in the league with 25.0ppg (#2). He also registered 5.0 boards per game.

Third on the list of top players last round was Dutch center Jesse Edwards (211-C-2000) of league's top team Melbourne United. Edwards scored 22 points and grabbed 6 rebounds. He was a key player of United, leading his team to a 114-82 easy win against NZL Breakers (#10, 0-2). Melbourne Utd has a very good start of the season. But there were just 2 games played, so it's too early to judge them at this stage. Edwards also has a very good start of the season with very strong stats. Edwards has a great season in Australia. After only 2 games, he made it on the list of the league's leaders in rebounds with 8.0rpg (8th best).

The Player of the week is selected based on efficiency calculation, but also including game result, importance of the game, if played recorded double-double/triple-double, etc.
The efficiency formula is a combination of various formulas used by different basketball organizations/leagues. We got involved many basketball scouts and journalists to assure it's accuracy.
The formula: 1.5*PTS + 3*(REB+AST+ST+BL-TO) - 2*BSAG - 4*PF + 3*PFRV + 4*(2FGPM+3FGPM) + 1.5*FTM - 3*(2FGPA-2FGPM) - 3*(3FGPA-3FGPM) - (FTA-FTM)
