Experienced American Tyler Harvey (194-G-1993) had a very impressive game in the last round for Illawarra Hawks and that's him to receive a Hoops Agents Player of the Week award for round 5.
The 32-year old guard got a double-double of 22 points and 10 assists, while his team outclassed Brisbane (#9, 1-4) with 27-point margin 116-89. Hawks is placed at 8th position in Australian NBL. The season is still in it's early stage, so the team may have a chance to improve their current position in the standings. They lost 3 games and had just one victory. In the team's last game Harvey had a remarkable 54.5% from 2-point range. He turned to be Hawks's top player in his first season with the team. Eastern Washington University graduate has very impressive stats this year. Harvey is in league's top in points (7th best: 20.5ppg) and assists (4th best: 6.0apg).

The second most remarkable performance in last round's games was young New Zealand forward Sam Mennenga (206-F-2001) of New Zealand Breakers. Mennenga impressed basketball fans with a double-double of 29 points and 11 rebounds. Bad luck as Breakers lost that game 81-87 to the higher-ranked SE Melbourne (#5, 2-1). NZL Breakers are still at the very bottom. 5 lost games are too many comparing to just one victory Breakers managed to get this year. Mennenga is a newcomer at NZL Breakers and it seems he did not have too much trouble to become one of team's leaders.

The third best performed player last round was South Sudanese Kouat Noi (201-F-1997) of Sydney Kings (#6). Noi scored 29 points and grabbed 6 rebounds. He was a key player of Kings, leading his team to a 103-79 easy win against the higher-ranked Adelaide (#2, 3-1). Sydney needs these victories very badly if they think about getting closer to top teams. Their record at this point is 2 victories and 2 lost games. Noi has a very solid season. In 4 games in Australia he scored 12.5ppg. Kouat Noi has also Australian passport and can play in the league with a status of domestic player.
