26-year old guard William Hickey (194-G-1999) put on an amazing game in the last round for Illawarra Hawks and receives a Hoops Agents Player of the Week award for round 12.
He recorded a triple-double of 19 points adding also 12 rebounds and 12 assists, while his team crushed Cairns (#9, 3-9) with 17-point margin 107-90. Hawks maintains the 8th position in Australian league. Illawarra H. is rather a weak team placed in lower part in the standings. They need more victories to improve their 4-6 record. In the team's last game Hickey had a remarkable 60.0% from 2-point range. He turned to be Hawks's top player in his first season with the team. William Hickey averages this season 15.8ppg, 7.5rpg and 8.3apg.

Second best performed player last round was Bryce Hamilton (193-G-2000) of Tasmania JackJumpers. He is American guard in his first season at Tasmania JJ. In the last game Hamilton recorded an impressive 36 points, 8 rebounds and 5 assists. Bad luck as JackJumpers was edged by the higher-ranked SE Melbourne (#3, 7-3) 103-102. This loss caused Tasmania JJ to drop to 7th position in the standings. His team is not often considered as one of the league's best with a mere 5-7 record. Hamilton is a newcomer at Tasmania JJ and quickly became one of team's most reliable players. He belongs to the best scorers in the league with 20.2ppg (#6). His other stats are also decent: 4.9rpg and 3.4apg.

Third place about best performers goes to another Illawarra H.'s star - center Javale McGee (213-C-1988). McGee scored 28 points and grabbed 6 rebounds. He was another key player of Illawarra Hawks, helping his team with a 107-90 easy win against slightly lower-ranked Cairns (#9, 3-9). The chances of Hawks ranking at the top of the league, however are very questionable as they have already lost 6 games, recording just four victories. With bigger assistance of his teammates, McGee could help Illawarra H. to bring them higher in the standings. McGee has a great season in Australia. After 10 games, he made it on the list of the league's leaders in points with 23.1ppg (4th best) and rebounds with 10.5rpg (#1 in league). He also has 1.8bpg and a FGP of 63.7%.
