American Forward Zylan Cheatham (203-F-1995) put on an extraordinary performance in the last round for second-ranked Adelaide 36ers, receiving a Hoops Agents Player of the Week award for round 13.
The 30-year old player had a double-double of 27 points and 14 rebounds, while his team beat Tasmania JJ (#6, 5-8) 97-86. Adelaide 36ers maintains the 2nd position in Australian NBL. They would have been even better if they hadn't lost a few games earlier this season. Adelaide will need more victories to improve their 8-3 record. In the team's last game Cheatham had a remarkable 75.0% from 2-point range. It was one of impressive evenings for him as usually he does not deliver so high stats. Former Arizona State University star has very solid stats this year. Cheatham leads league in rebounds with 10.8rpg. Cheatham is in league's top in and averages impressive 52.3% FGP.

The second best player in last round's games was young international forward Xavier Cooks (203-F-1995) of Sydney Kings. Cooks had a very good evening with a double-double of 21 points and 14 rebounds. Of course Kings cruised to a 79-72 relatively comfortable win over the lower-ranked NZL Breakers (#9, 4-10). Sydney's 5th position in the standings has not changed. His team lost some distance to top teams. But a 6-5 record is not bad and everything may still change. Cooks is well-known at Sydney and is a proven leader in his second season with the team.

Third on the list of top players last round was New Zealand forward Sam Mennenga (206-F-2001) of New Zealand Breakers (#9). Mennenga scored 25 points and grabbed 6 rebounds. He was a key player of Breakers, leading his team to a 113-84 easy win against slightly higher-ranked Brisbane (#7, 5-9). NZL Breakers can only dream about fighting for top spots in the league. They have rather bad season and 4-10 record places them close to the bottom of the standings. Mennenga has individually a great season in Australia. After 12 games, he made it on the list of the league's leaders in points with 17.3ppg (9th best) and rebounds with 7.7rpg (7th best).
