Experienced American Bryce Cotton (182-G-1992, agency: Pensack Sports) had a great game in the last round for league's second-best Adelaide 36ers and that's him to receive a Hoops Agents Player of the Week award for round 14.
The 33-year old guard had the game-high 41 points adding eight assists for Adelaide in his team's victory, helping them to edge out Cairns (#10, 3-11) 105-101. Adelaide 36ers maintains the 2nd position in Australian NBL. They would have been even better if they hadn't lost a few games earlier this season. Adelaide will need more victories to improve their 9-3 record. Cotton turned to be Adelaide 36ers's top player in his first season with the team. Providence College graduate has very impressive stats this year. Cotton is league's best scorer averaging so far 27.4ppg. Cotton is in league's top in assists (2nd best: 6.3apg) and averages solid 2.5spg and 40.9% from behind 3-point line.

The second most remarkable performance in last round's games was young international forward Jack McVeigh (203-F-1996) of Cairns Taipans. McVeigh impressed basketball fans with 39 points, 8 rebounds and 7 assists. Bad luck as Taipans was edged by the higher-ranked Adelaide (#2, 9-3) 105-101. Cairns are still at the very bottom. 11 lost games are too many comparing to just three victories Taipans managed to get this year. McVeigh is a newcomer at Cairns and it seems he did not have too much trouble to become one of team's leaders. He belongs to the best scorers in the league with 18.8ppg (#7). His other stats are also decent: 6.8rpg and 5.2apg.

The third best performed player last round was American Milton Doyle (193-SG-1993) of top-ranked Melbourne United. Doyle showcased his all-around game by recording 28 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists in the last round. He was a key player of United, leading his team to a 99-93 win against the lower-ranked Brisbane (#7, 5-9). Melbourne Utd confirms their top position in the standings. Doyle has a very solid season. In 13 games in Australia he scored 15.2ppg.
