Australia established complete control from the opening tip, showcasing their superior talent and depth in a comprehensive 71-point victory against Fiji. Australia's balanced offensive attack featured five players reaching double-digit scoring, demonstrating the full team effort that overwhelmed their opponents throughout all four quarters. Isaac Riddle was exceptional, shooting an outstanding 10-from-13 from the field (76.9%) while leading Australia's scoring with 20 points. His efficient performance in just 18 minutes exemplified Australia's dominance, as they were able to rest key players while maintaining their commanding advantage throughout the contest. Jai Fa'ale provided excellent support with 19 points on efficient 9-from-15 shooting, including a solid 8-from-10 from two-point range. The Victorian forward also cleaned the glass effectively with six rebounds while contributing two assists in 24 minutes of action. Yahya Basaran (211-C-2009) added 14 points on outstanding 6-from-9 shooting, while Harry Cook (210-C-2008) chipped in 13 points with a stellar 5-from-8 from the field and nine rebounds. Australia's offensive efficiency was remarkable, shooting 54.5% from the field (48-from-88) and controlling the paint with outstanding 44-from-65 shooting from two-point range (67.7%). While their three-point shooting was modest at 17.4% (4-from-23), their dominance inside more than compensated for the perimeter struggles. The Boomers also dominated the boards 55-0 based on available statistics, showcasing their physical superiority. Australia's depth proved decisive as they rotated players freely without any drop-off in performance. Luke Paul facilitated effectively with seven assists while adding 12 points, and the team's defensive intensity forced turnovers and contested shots throughout the match. Australia next play Guam on Wednesday at 11.30am AEDT.
