Experienced American Zylan Cheatham (203-F-1995) put on an extraordinary performance in the last round for league's leader Adelaide 36ers and that's him to receive a Hoops Agents Player of the Week award for round 23.
The 30-year old forward got a double-double of 17 points and 10 assists, while his team beat Brisbane (#9, 6-18) 97-86. It allowed Adelaide 36ers to consolidate first place in the Australian NBL. Adelaide have a solid 19-4 record. It was one of impressive evenings for Cheatham as usually he does not deliver so high stats. Arizona State University graduate has very impressive stats this year. Cheatham is in league's top in rebounds (2nd best: 10.0rpg) and averages solid 56.5% FGP.

The second most remarkable performance in last round's games was young international center Will Magnay (208-C-1998) of Tasmania JackJumpers. Magnay impressed basketball fans with a double-double of 27 points and 13 rebounds. Of course JackJumpers cruised to a 84-75 relatively comfortable win over the higher-ranked Melbourne Utd (#3, 15-8). Tasmania JJ's 6th position in the standings has not changed. His team is not often considered as one of the league's best with a mere 11-13 record. Magnay is a newcomer at Tasmania JJ and it seems he did not have too much trouble to become one of team's leaders.

The third best performed player last round was another Adelaide's star - American Bryce Cotton (182-G-1992, agency: Pensack Sports). Cotton scored 23 points and passed 7 assists. He was another key player of Adelaide 36ers, helping his team with a 97-86 win against the lower-ranked Brisbane (#9, 6-18). Adelaide 36ers confirms their top position in the standings. Cotton has a great season in Australia. After 23 games, he made it on the list of the league's leaders in points with 25.7ppg (best scorer) and assists with 7.8apg (best passer). He also has 2.1spg and and 3PT: 40.3%.
