American Point guard Parker Jackson-Cartwright (180-PG-1995) had a very impressive game in the last round for New Zealand Breakers, receiving a Hoops Agents Player of the Week award for round 25.
The 30-year old player was the main contributor (23 points, seven rebounds and eight assists) to his team's victory, helping them to beat Illawarra H. (#8, 8-15) 101-96. Breakers is placed at 7th position in Australian NBL. NZL Breakers is rather a weak team placed in lower part in the standings. They need more victories to improve their 9-15 record. Jackson-Cartwright turned to be Breakers' top player in his first season with the team. Parker Jackson-Cartwright averages this season 16.7ppg and 7.5apg.

The second best player in last round's games was young American Hunter Maldonado (201-G-1999, agency: Octagon Europe) of Brisbane Bullets. Maldonado had a very good evening with 31 points, 6 rebounds and 5 assists. Bad luck as Bullets lost that game 83-88 to slightly higher-ranked Cairns (#9, 7-17). The game was between two teams which are definitely not main contenders for the title. Brisbane is still at the dead bottom 10th position. 19 lost games are too many comparing to just six victories Bullets managed to get this year. Maldonado is a newcomer at Brisbane, but is already one of team's top players.

Third on the list of top players last round was Dutch center Jesse Edwards (211-C-2000) of Melbourne United (#4). Edwards scored 23 points and grabbed 8 rebounds. Despite Edwards' great performance the United lost 94-97 to #3 ranked Sydney. But his team cannot count on just a single player as he also needs help of the other teammates especially in such crucial game. The last thing Melbourne Utd needs is to lose another game like this one. They lose more and more distance to the top teams. Their record is 15 victories and 10 lost games. Edwards has a great season in Australia. After 24 games, he made it on the list of the league's leaders in rebounds with 7.6rpg (5th best). He also has 1.0bpg and a FGP of 65.4%.
