American Forward Torrey Craig (198-F-1990) put on an extraordinary performance in the last round for Sydney Kings, receiving a Hoops Agents Player of the Week award for round 28.
The 35-year old player was the main contributor (26 points, eight rebounds and three assists) to his team's victory, helping them to beat Adelaide (#1, 20-7) 106-101. The game was between two of the league's top four teams. Kings maintains the 3rd position in Australian NBL. They would have been even better if they hadn't lost a few games earlier this season. Sydney will need more victories to improve their 18-9 record. In the team's last game Craig had a remarkable six three-pointers out of 8 attempts. He turned to be Kings's top player in his first season with the team. Torrey Craig averages just after two games 19.0ppg and 6.0rpg.

The second best player in last round's games was young American Javale McGee (213-C-1988) of Illawarra Hawks. McGee had a very good evening with 23 points and 8 rebounds. Of course Hawks cruised to a 101-91 relatively comfortable win over slightly higher-ranked Tasmania JJ (#6, 12-16). This victory allowed Illawarra H. to move up to 7th position in the standings. His team is not often considered as one of the league's best with a mere 10-16 record. McGee is a newcomer at Illawarra H., but is already one of team's top players. He belongs to the best scorers in the league with 20.1ppg (#6). He also registered 9.8 boards per game.

Third on the list of top players last round was South Sudanese center Jo Lual-Acuil (213-C-1994) of Perth Wildcats (#5). Lual-Acuil scored 24 points and grabbed 11 rebounds (!!!). Despite Lual-Acuil's great performance the Wildcats lost 73-74 to slightly higher-ranked Melbourne Utd (#4, 18-10). But his team cannot count on just a single player as he also needs help of the other teammates. The last thing Perth needs is to lose another game like this one. They lose more and more distance to the top teams. Their record is 16 victories and 11 lost games. Lual-Acuil has a very solid season. In 27 games in Australia he scored 17.0ppg. He also has 6.5rpg, 1.6bpg and a FGP of 56.5%. Jo Lual-Acuil has also Australian passport and can play in the league with a status of domestic player.
