Canberra Gunners (NBL One) signed American guard Darnell Hoskins Jr. (180cm-79kg, college: SVSU, agency: 6th Man Basketball Agency) for the upcoming 2026 season. He played last summer at RMIT University in the Big V. In 19 games, he had very impressive stats: 21.9ppg, 2.1rpg, and 1.9apg. The 2025-25 season was great for him as he was named to Australiabasket.com All-Australian Big V First Team.
He has played previously in the NBL1 for the Willetton Tigers in 2023 .
Hoskins was named to the GLIAC All-Tournament Team in 2022.
He attended Saginaw Valley State University until 2022, and this will be his fifth season as a professional player.
