La Laguna Tenerife (Liga Endesa) added experienced 37-year-old Australian ex-international 188cm guard Patty Mills (college: SMC) to their roster. He most recently played for the LA Clippers in the NBA, where he recorded 3.1ppg in 13 games last season. Mills also played for another NBA team, the Jazz.
In 2009, he was drafted by the Portland Trail Blazers (NBA) in the second round (55th overall). Mills graduated from Saint Mary's College of California, and it is his 17th season in pro basketball.
He was also a member of the Australian international program for some years. Mills played for Australian Senior National Team between 2008 and 2024 and previously for the Under 19 National Team back in 2007.
He also represented Australia at the FIBA Olympic Games in Paris (France) two years ago. During this event, he scored an average of 16.5 points per game and had 2.3 rebounds per game.
Mills has played professionally in China and the NBA, including stints with the Atlanta Hawks, Miami Heat, Brooklyn Nets, and San Antonio Spurs.
His team made it to the NBA Semifinals in 2017. It may be one of the last seasons in his extensive career, which he may end at Tenerife.
