Hawkes Bay Hawks (NBL) signed 27-year-old Australian ex-international 197cm swingman Daniel Grida. It marks his return to Hawks, where he played in 2025. Grida most recently played for Illawarra Hawks in the Australian NBL league, averaging 6.3ppg and 1.4rpg in 29 games this past season.
He won the Australian League championship title in 2025 and was voted to the Australiabasket.com New Zealand NBL All-Imports Team in 2024.
