Lakeside Lightning (NBL One) signed 22-year-old Chinese 181cm point guard Yahui Sun for the upcoming season. He played for Shougang Beijing Ducks in the Chinese CBA league for the last two years. In 12 games, he averaged just 2.0ppg and 1.0apg last season, but he helped them reach the Chinese Cup Semifinals.
Sun represented China at the FIBA World Cup U19 in Debrecen (Hungary) three years ago. Sun's team won Bronze and he averaged over 3 points per game.
