The Long Island Nets signed 26-year-old guard Javon Freeman-Liberty (6'3''-174lbs-1999, college: DePaul). He started the season with the Brisbane Bullets in the Australian NBL league. In 9 games, he averaged 13.4ppg, 4.9rpg, 3.4apg, and 1.7spg.
He is a highly experienced player. Freeman-Liberty has also played professionally in Australia, Turkey (Manisa), NBA (Chicago Bulls and Toronto Raptors), NBA G League (Raptors 905 Mississauga and Windy City Bulls), and NBA Summer League (Toronto Raptors).
Among many awards, his college team made it to the NBA G League Showcase Cup final in 2023. He was also part of the MVC All-Tournament Team back in 2020.
Freeman-Liberty graduated from De Paul University in 2022 and is in his fourth season as a professional player. He also played for Valparaiso University for 2 years.
