Manchester Manchester Basketball (SLB) strengthened their roster with the addition of 29-year-old Australian forward D.J. Mitchell (203cm-98kg-1997, college: Santa Clara). It is actually his comeback to Manchester as he has played here before. He started the season at SE Melbourne in the Australian NBL league. In 31 games, he recorded 4.4ppg and 2.0rpg. Last season, he played at Manchester, where he played 33 games in the British SLB, averaging 14.8ppg, 5.8rpg, 2.5apg, and 1.0spg. It was a very spectacular season in his career as he was voted to Eurobasket.com All-British League Honorable Mention.
Thanks to Mitchell's pro career, he managed to play on three different continents - Europe, Australia, and North America. Mitchell has also played professionally in Holland (BAL Weert) and Poland (WKS Slask).
His team won the Polish League Regular Season in 2023.
Mitchell graduated from Santa Clara University in 2021 and is in his fifth season as a professional player. He has also played for other colleges such as Miles College and Meridian Community College.
