Australian NBL One round 4 best performance: Matur Maker

Naturalized South Sudanese Center Matur Maker (208-C-1998) had a great game in the last round for second-ranked Central Coast Crusaders, receiving a Hoops Agents NBL One Player of the Week award for round 4.
The 27-year old player had a double-double of 33 points and 16 rebounds, while his team outclassed, the league's bottom-ranked team Albury W.B. (#15, 0-3) with 40-point margin 108-68. Crusaders is placed at 2nd position in Australian NBL One. They would have been even better if they hadn't lost that single game earlier this season. Cent.Coast C. will need more victories to improve their 3-1 record. In the team's last game Maker had a remarkable 76.5% from 2-point range. He just recently signed at Crusaders and just after two games he already turned to be a very valuable addition to the team. Matur Maker has solid league stats. He is in league's top in points (5th best: 28.0ppg), rebounds (9th best: 11.0rpg) and averages impressive 70.0% FGP.

The second best player in last round's games was young Jacob Richards (200-F-2001) of Hobart Chargers. Richards had a very good evening with 31 points, 8 rebounds and 5 assists. Of course he led Chargers to another comfortable win 105-89 over the lower-ranked Kilsyth C. (#7, 2-1) being unquestionably team leader. Despite this victory Hobart C. slide down in the standings to 3rd position in South. His team's 3-1 record is not bad at all. Richards is one of the most experienced players at Hobart C. and has a reputation of one of team's most reliable players.

Third on the list of top players last round was American forward Taeshon Cherry (203-F-1999, agency: Elevate Sports Alliance) of Willetton Tigers (#3). Cherry got into 30-points club by scoring 36 points in the last round. He went also for seven rebounds and five assists. He was a key player of Tigers, leading his team to a 121-115 win against the lower-ranked Perth R. (#10, 1-2). Willetton T. started extremely well this year. They recorded 3 victories without losing a single game in West. Cherry turns to be one of the very best players in the league while he is also a leader of the top team having his eyes on the championship title. Cherry has a very solid season. In 3 games in Australia he scored 25.3ppg.
