American Forward Jackson Meshanic (201-F-2000) had a great game in the last round for Camberwell Dragons, receiving a Hoops Agents Big V Player of the Week award for round 4.
The 25-year old player had a double-double of 34 points and 16 rebounds, while his team beat Hume City (#8, 2-4) 94-88. Camberwell maintains the 4th position in Australian Big V. They would have been even better if they hadn't lost two games earlier this season. Camberwell will need more victories to improve their 3-2 record. In the team's last game Meshanic had a remarkable 57.1% from 2-point range. He just recently signed at Camberwell, being already a very valuable addition to the team. Former Hobart College star has very solid stats this year. Meshanic is in league's top in points (6th best: 21.2ppg).

The second best player in last round's games was young Croatian Ivan Platenik (201-F-1983) of Warrandyte Venom. Platenik had a very good evening with a double-double of 25 points and 10 rebounds. Bad luck as Venom lost that game 74-101 to slightly lower-ranked Bellarine (#6, 2-2). Despite lost game Warrandyte moved up to 5th position in the standings. His team lost some distance to top teams. But a 3-3 record is not bad and everything may still change. Platenik is one of the most experienced players at Warrandyte and has a reputation of one of team's most reliable players.

Third on the list of top players last round was Australian guard Robbie Heath (190-G-1998) of Hume City Broncos (#8). Heath got into 30-points club by scoring 46 points in the last round. He went also for six rebounds and five assists. Despite Heath's great performance the Hume City Broncos lost 100-117 to the higher-ranked Sunbury (#3, 3-1). But his team cannot count on just a single shooter as he also needs help of the other teammates. The chances of Hume City not to end season at such low position in the league, however are less than slim as they have already lost 4 games, recording just two victories. With bigger assistance of his teammates, Heath could try to bring Hume City's a little bit higher in the standings. Heath has individually a great season in Australia. After only 6 games, he made it on the list of the league's leaders in points with 28.7ppg (2nd best).
