American Forward Bryce Brown (203-F, agency: Dominion Sports Group) put on an amazing game in the last round for top-ranked Gippsland United Pacers, receiving a Hoops Agents Big V Player of the Week award for round 7.
The player had a double-double of 30 points and 15 rebounds, while his team beat Bellarine (#9, 2-5) 112-102. It allowed Pacers to consolidate first place in the Australian Big V. Gippsland Utd have a solid 6-1 record. In the team's last game Brown had a remarkable 63.2% from 2-point range. He just recently signed at Pacers, being already a very valuable addition to the team. Former Lindsey Wilson College star has very solid stats this year. Brown is in league's top in rebounds (3rd best: 10.9rpg).

The second best player in last round's games was young American Kierell Green (203-C-1997, agency: YoungGroup Unlimited) of McKinnon Cougars. Green had a very good evening with a double-double of 23 points and 20 rebounds. Of course he led Cougars to another comfortable win 80-64 over the higher-ranked Sunbury (#3, 5-2) being unquestionably team leader. McKinnon's 7th position in the standings has not changed. His team lost some distance to top teams. But a 4-3 record is not bad and everything may still change. Green is one of the most experienced players at McKinnon and has a reputation of one of team's most reliable players.

Third on the list of top players last round was American forward Jackson Meshanic (201-F-2000) of Camberwell Dragons (#4). Meshanic got into 30-points club by scoring exactly 30 points in the last round. He went also for thirteen rebounds . He was a key player of Camberwell, leading his team to a 97-65 easy win against the lower-ranked Wyndham (#11, 1-7). Camberwell needs these victories very badly if they think about getting closer to top teams. Their record at this point is 5 victories and 3 lost games. Meshanic has a great season in Australia. After only 8 games, he made it on the list of the league's leaders in points with 20.5ppg (7th best) and rebounds with 11.0rpg (2nd best).

The formula: 1.5*PTS + 3*(REB+AST+ST+BL-TO) - 2*BSAG - 4*PF + 3*PFRV + 4*(2FGPM+3FGPM) + 1.5*FTM - 3*(2FGPA-2FGPM) - 3*(3FGPA-3FGPM) - (FTA-FTM)
