31-year old British power forward Oliver Stanley (196-F/C-1994) had a great game in the last round for Melbourne University and receives a Hoops Agents Big V Player of the Week award for round 9.
He had a double-double of 37 points and 13 rebounds, while his team beat Bellarine (3-7) 108-98. The game rather meaningless between the teams, which do not have any influence on top of the standings. Melbourne Uni is placed at 9th position in Australian Big V. Too late to salvage the team, which is currently ranked such low. They already lost 7 games and recorded just three victories. Stanley turned to be Melbourne Uni's top player in his first season with the team. Stanley has impressive league stats. He is in league's top in points (9th best: 19.8ppg), rebounds (2nd best: 11.5rpg) and averages solid 1.2bpg and 62.9% FGP.

Second best performed player last round was Lachlan Wood (F-2002) of Hume City Broncos. He is a forward in his first season at Hume City. In the last game Wood recorded an impressive double-double of 25 points and 20 rebounds. Bad luck as Hume City Broncos was edged by slightly lower-ranked McKinnon (#7, 5-5) 72-71. This loss caused Hume City to drop to 5th position in the standings. His team lost some distance to top teams. But a 6-5 record is not bad and everything may still change. Wood is one of the most experienced players at Hume City and has a reputation of one of team's most reliable players.

Third place about best performers goes to forward Rohan Jarvie (F) of Bellarine Storm (#10). Jarvie got into 30-points club by scoring 31 points in the last round. He went also for eight rebounds . Despite Jarvie's great performance the Storm lost 98-108 to Melbourne Uni (3-7). But his team cannot count on just a single shooter as he also needs help of the other teammates. The chances of Bellarine not to end season at such low position in the league, however are less than slim as they have already lost 7 games, recording just three victories. With bigger assistance of his teammates, Jarvie could try to bring Bellarine's a little bit higher in the standings. Jarvie has a very solid season. In 10 games in Australia he scored 13.7ppg. He also has 7.3rpg, 1.4bpg and a FGP of 54.8%.

The formula: 1.5*PTS + 3*(REB+AST+ST+BL-TO) - 2*BSAG - 4*PF + 3*PFRV + 4*(2FGPM+3FGPM) + 1.5*FTM - 3*(2FGPA-2FGPM) - 3*(3FGPA-3FGPM) - (FTA-FTM)
