The game between Top Four teams took place in Findon. host Adelaide 36ers were smashed by United 89-65. United dominated down low during the game scoring 52 of its points in the paint compared to Adelaide 36ers' 30. They outrebounded Adelaide 36ers 50-32 including 35 on the defensive glass. Naturalized Sudanese center Jo Lual-Acuil (213-94, college: Baylor) fired a double-double by scoring 16 points and 12 rebounds for the winners. The former international guard Chris Goulding (192-88) chipped in 16 points. Four United players scored in double figures. The former international power forward Daniel Johnson (212-88, college: Pepperdine) produced 27 points and 5 rebounds and international guard Joshua Giddey (203-2) added 7 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists respectively for lost side. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. United will meet Cairns Taipans on the road in the next round. Adelaide 36ers will play against New Zealand Breakers and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
