Host Adelaide 36ers were crushed by New Zealand Breakers in Findon 106-62. New Zealand guard Tai Webster (193-95, college: Nebraska) notched a double-double by scoring 29 points and 12 assists to lead the effort and New Zealand guard Corey Webster (188-88, college: Lambuth) supported him with 29 points and 5 rebounds. Even 17 points, 8 rebounds and 4 assists by the former international power forward Daniel Johnson (212-88, college: Pepperdine) did not help to save the game for Adelaide 36ers. The former international forward Jack McVeigh (203-96, college: Nebraska) added 20 points and 5 rebounds for lost side. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. New Zealand Breakers maintains ninth position with 2-6 record. Adelaide 36ers at the other side dropped to the fourth place with seven games lost. New Zealand Breakers will play against higher ranked Bullets (#6) in Brisbane in the next round and it may be quite challenging game.
