An interesting game for Perth Wildcats (7-4) which played road game in Gwynneville against second-best Illawarra Hawks (7-6). Third ranked Perth Wildcats had an easy win 87-70. Perth Wildcats made 22-of-29 charity shots (75.9 percent) during the game. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 24 assists comparing to just 11 passes made by Illawarra Hawks' players. American players dominated the game. The best player for the winners was forward John Mooney (206-98, college: Notre Dame, agency: Pensack Sports) who scored 14 points, 8 rebounds and 6 assists. Guard Bryce Cotton (182-92, college: Providence, agency: Pensack Sports) chipped in 18 points. Four Perth Wildcats players scored in double figures. At the other side the best for losing team was guard Tyler Harvey (194-93, college: EWU) who recorded 17 points and guard Justin Simon (196-96, college: St.John's) added 9 points and 7 rebounds respectively. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Perth Wildcats have an impressive five-game winning streak. Defending champion moved-up to second place.
