Cavaliers edged Hume City Broncos in Cranbourne 89-88. Cavaliers dominated down low during the game scoring 58 of its points in the paint compared to Hume City Broncos' 32. They outrebounded Hume City Broncos 47-34 including 32 on the defensive glass. Worth to mention a great performance of naturalized British swingman Matthew Donlan (200-93, college: YSU) who helped to win the game recording 26 points and 7 rebounds. Guard Ben Waterhouse (190-95, college: Young Harris) contributed with 15 points for the winners. Five Cavaliers players scored in double figures. Mackuei Puondak answered with a double-double by scoring 27 points and 12 rebounds and Shayan Mahboobi added 21 points and 7 assists in the effort for Hume City Broncos. Hume City Broncos' coach rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Hume City Broncos will play next round against Vikings trying to get back on the winning streak. Cavaliers will try to continue on its current victory against Magic in Hawthorn.
