Regular Season Round 3: McKinnon C. - Casey C. 92-78

The biggest surprise of round 3 in Local League took place in McKinnon where host Cougars (2-0) beat Cavaliers (2-1) 92-78 on Saturday evening. The best player for the winners was Jordan Geer who scored 23 points, 9 rebounds and 9 assists. James Malvaso chipped in 18 points and 5 rebounds. Cougars' coach used a ten-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. At the other side the best for losing team was American point guard Anthony Williams (178-95, college: Clark Atlanta) who recorded 25 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists and guard Michael McInnes (191-90) added 13 points and 7 rebounds respectively. Both teams had five players each who scored in double figures. Cavaliers will play next round against strong Thunder trying to make it back to the top of the standings. Cougars will try to continue on its current victory against Devils in Werribee.
