There was no surprise when 6th ranked Kings (10-10) were defeated on the road by second ranked Perth Wildcats (14-4) 95-89. However just six-point win is not that big difference and the fans of host team counted on more convincing victory. Perth Wildcats made 30-of-36 charity shots (83.3 percent) during the game, while Kings only scored ten points from the stripe. Perth Wildcats players were unselfish on offense dishing 22 assists comparing to just 9 passes made by Kings' players. 24 personal fouls committed by Kings helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. The game was dominated by American players. Forward John Mooney (206-98, college: Notre Dame, agency: Pensack Sports) nailed a double-double by scoring 20 points and 11 rebounds for the winning side and guard Bryce Cotton (182-92, college: Providence, agency: Pensack Sports) accounted for 22 points and 6 assists. Perth Wildcats' coach allowed to play the deep bench players saving starting five for next games. Forward Jarell Martin (208-94, college: LSU) came up with a double-double by scoring 25 points and 11 rebounds and point guard Casper Ware (178-90, college: LBSU) added 27 points and 5 rebounds respectively for Kings in the defeat. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. The victory was the twelfth consecutive win for Perth Wildcats. Defending champion maintains second place with 14-4 record behind leader Melbourne. Kings at the other side dropped to the fourth position with ten games lost. Perth Wildcats' next round opponent will be again Kings (#5) in Sydney.
